Hello! After Folk Alliance in Kansas City then a quick tour leg in Ohio and Kentucky, I got my copies of the new EP I am very excited to get into your hands soon! My esteemed colleagues and hater drinking buddies have given me very flattering feedback so far. Team Austin, please mark your calendar for July 23rd at Strange Brew at 8:00 for the official release party. We may decide to do a live internet broadcast too. Let me know if you’d like that.
So I just got back from 9 days at the Kerrville Folk Festival. I didn’t realize at the time that I’d never really camped for that long ever. I elected to sleep in the Badass Buick for the first 3 nights due to amateur camping gear/skills and the highly publicized deluge that occurred. The experience was way more wonderful than I’d expected. I made a ton of friends, a bunch of fans, and even a handful of mentors. Folks were really listening. I did some song critiques, hill country bike rides, and even did a volunteer position on the [live main stage] recording team and got to master a few sets of great music including sets by Jack Williams and David Wilcox! I hope to see you there next year!
